The survey data forms an important basis for decisions regarding the further development of your degree program and the central services of Humboldt University. The results are also evaluated specifically for each degree program (while maintaining data protection). These differentiated results are distributed to the respective departments/faculties in the form of dashboards and thus serve to ensure and improve quality in the individual areas.

Other reasons include fixed career aspirations, good prospects for a secure job, and career opportunities. Multiple selections were possible.

71% of students believe that the proportion of in-person courses in their degree program is just right. 23% believe the proportion is too high.

At the same time, for 68% of students, their own attendance is important for achieving their learning goals.

13-20% of students are dissatisfied with various aspects of the exams. The high proportion of “partly/partly” ratings is striking, which indicates problems in individual courses.

20% of students state that they will complete their studies within the standard period of study, 15% are unsure.

Other relevant reasons include a high workload in the studies and the overlapping of courses. Multiple entries were possible.

Students with care responsibilities report an overall workload of 77 hours per week, with care work accounting for the largest share of the workload.

BAföG (German student financial aid) is only used by approximately 20% of students.

The assessment of seminar and lecture halls is mixed. 73% of students are satisfied with the offerings of the university sports facilities.
