Dear Participant,
My name is Laila Khaled, a Master's student at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. I am conducting this research survey to collect data for my thesis, titled "The Role of Non-State Actors (NSAs) in Berlin's Climate Policy: An Analysis of Drivers and Barriers."
Non-State Actors (NSAs) encompass a wide range of organizations outside of government, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), businesses, and citizen initiatives, that can significantly influence policy-making processes.
Your Contribution Matters
This survey aims to explore how different NSAs participate in and contribute to Berlin's climate policy initiatives. Your valuable insights will assist in addressing key research questions such as:
- Belief Systems and Preferences: What underlying beliefs, values, and policy preferences distinguish various NSA groups within Berlin's climate policy landscape?
- Categorization: Employing the Advocacy Coalition Framework concept, how can we effectively categorize the different types of NSAs engaged in Berlin's climate policy?
- Drivers of Contribution: What factors motivate and facilitate the involvement and contribution of NSAs in Berlin's climate governance?
- Barriers to Contribution: What obstacles hinder the contribution and involvement of NSAs in Berlin's climate governance?
- Divergent Impacts: How do these drivers and barriers differ across varying NSA categories within the context of Berlin's climate policy?
Benefits of Participation
By participating in this survey, you will be contributing to a deeper understanding of Berlin's climate policy landscape and the diverse roles that NSAs play in environmental initiatives.
